After a decade in the animal feed industry, Don Pestell launches Pestell-Agri Products, distributing feed ingredients to Ontario feed dealers.

Pestell Agri-Products is one of the first companies in North America to sell soft wood shavings as a replacement for straw bedding.

Pestell Transport is established, transporting products and ingredients to U.S. customers and suppliers.

Pestell Agri-Products is among the first to compress wood shavings into bales for easier and more efficient transport.

Don Pestell establishes new corporate headquarters in New Hamburg, near the center of Ontario’s agricultural industry.

Pestell Pet Products is launched to market Pestell branded pet products.

Pestell Pet Products launches “EasyClean” clumping cat litter.

Pestell Pet Products introduces “EasyClean” small animal bedding; opens first wood shavings production facility in Canada.

Pestell Group establishes a packaging facility in Baden, Ontario.

Pestell Agri-Products begins distributing fertilizer micros.

Pestell Agri-Products opens Kirkton, Ontario plant to process and bag copper sulphate trace mineral.

Pestell Agri-Products is renamed Pestell Minerals & Ingredients.

Pestell Minerals & Ingredients enters joint venture in copper sulphate production facility in Ningbo, China.

Pestell Pet Products becomes the first company in Canada to import silica cat litter.

Pestell Minerals & Ingredients invests in a copper sulphate manufacturing facility in Chile.

Pestell Pet Products introduces Boxo Comfort small animal bedding made from recycled corrugate.

Pestell Group builds a new 65,000 square foot warehouse and automated packaging facility.

Pestell International Mining and Exploration Inc. is created to develop copper mining operations in Chile.

New, highly automated production facility opened to serve Pestell Minerals and Ingredients and Pestell Pet Products.

Pestell Pet Products creates LifeMate, the first clumping cat litter with a pH indicator to provide early detection of pet health problems.
